Product tour
OneclickHR is one workspace covering fifteen modules that share the same records. This page walks all of them in order, so you can read the whole product rather than piecing it together from feature pages.
Getting started
An organization signs itself up with email confirmation and gets a fully isolated workspace. Two settings come first, because everything else depends on them: the organization timezone, which determines the calendar day every attendance record is filed under, and the brand color, which flows into the app, the transactional emails and every generated PDF.
Sign your organization up and confirm your email. You get a fully isolated workspace. Set your organization timezone and brand color first — the timezone makes every attendance date correct from the first clock-in, and the color flows into the app, the emails and every PDF.
Set up departments and team roles with permission presets, so a payroll person and a recruiter get coherent, different access. Then create your employees and invite them. Employees never self-register, so the set of people inside your workspace is one you built on purpose.
Attendance and leave work from day one. Timesheets go in weekly and get approved. When the cycle comes round, build the payroll run, read it, and finalize it. Invoices come from the hours you already approved, and payslips land in each employee’s own portal.
Access
Every boundary below is enforced in Postgres with Row Level Security rather than by hiding interface elements, which is what makes it safe to give an external recruiter an account at all.
Self-signs up with email confirmation, gets an isolated workspace, invites the team, and configures everything.
Created by the organization, never self-signup. Sees their own attendance, leave, pay, tasks and documents.
Scoped access to the hiring side only, toggleable per job. Does not see the rest of the organization.
External, with a lightweight account. Applies through the public job board and sees their own application.
Attendance
Employees clock in and out, switch shifts, and see their own history. You get org-wide views and a day-by-day sheet. The calendar date is derived in your organization’s timezone, so a 9am start never lands on yesterday.
Leave
An employee requests leave from their portal. The manager approves or declines it. The balance updates, the history records it, and the approved days appear on the shared organization calendar where the rest of the team can see them.
Payroll
Payroll in OneclickHR has a review step. You see the run — every line, every breakdown — before anything is finalized. Pay schedules, overtime rules and currency are configured once in your workspace and applied every cycle.
Timesheets
Employees submit a week at a time, attach supporting files, and allocate hours to a project or a client. Managers approve. The approved hours feed payroll and the invoices you send.
Invoicing & finance
Generate client invoices as PDFs, track them in an invoice workspace, record expenses against the organization, and read a finance overview that rolls it all up.
Tasks & projects
Kanban boards with drag-and-drop, grouped into projects. A card moved on one screen moves on every screen watching that board. Each employee sees their own assigned tasks in their portal.
Recruiting
Post jobs to a public, SEO-friendly careers board on your own branded page — and on your own custom domain. Candidates apply directly with a lightweight account. Track applications, keep a talent pool, and give recruiters access scoped per job.
Documents & letters
Generate HR letters — offer letters, verification letters and the like — from templates, as PDFs carrying your brand. Each employee has a document store, and you can see how much of your storage quota is used.
Meetings & calendar
A shared organization calendar that carries meetings, approved leave and events together, with Google Calendar sync and meeting invites so the people who need the event have it where they already look.
Help desk
An internal help desk where employees raise tickets, and the back-and-forth stays on the ticket as a threaded support conversation.
Notifications
In-app notifications for what is happening in the workspace, web push for what cannot wait until someone opens a tab, and transactional email carrying your brand color.
Onboarding
Two onboarding flows, because two different people are starting. One walks a brand-new organization through setting up its workspace. The other walks a new employee through their portal.
Workspace settings
Company profile, departments, team roles with permission presets, overtime policy, integrations, a custom domain for your careers page, and your own brand color carried across the app, the emails and the PDFs.
Employee portal
One portal covering an employee’s attendance, leave, payslips and pay, timesheets, tasks and projects, documents, profile, meetings, and the internal job board.
Underneath
One Postgres database, Row Level Security on every single table, and a non-null tenant id on every tenant-scoped table. A user’s organization and role travel in their signed auth token, so the database itself decides what they may read. Isolation is tested against a real database, not mocked.
